Community Board

The BIHPI Community Board is composed of representatives from various organizations, agencies, faith institutions as well as other stakeholders and interested community residents.

It is charged with developing and sustaining a plan to address disparities in Black infant deaths in Hillsborough by identifying key strategies at the community level to address disparities in Black infant deaths; identifying local and state level policies that need to be amended or created to address disparities in Black infant deaths and creating an evaluation plan for each local strategy to be implemented.

Estrellita “Lo” Berry, President of REACHUP, Inc, and Dr. Leisa Stanley, Associate Executive Director, Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County, co-facilitate this group.
