Speaker's Bureau
The BIHPI Speakers Bureau is composed of men and women who have a passion for educating our community with important information to help keep our babies alive. Utilizing the Save Our Babies Community Toolkit. Members of the Bureau represent various organizations, agencies, faith institutions as well as interested community residents. Dr. Deborah Austin, Director of Outreach & Communication, REACHUP, Inc and Selena Scott, Co-chair of the REACHUP/Central Hillsborough Healthy Start Community Consortium, serve as facilitators of this effort.

Estrellita “Lo” Berry, M.A, LTFP
serves as President of REACHUP, Inc. a non-profit agency
committed to building community capacity to achieve
racial and ethnic equity in health care and positive
outcomes for families in Tampa Bay Region. She has
had extensive involvement in developing and implementing
culturally inclusive programs that service high-risk
families. |

Deborah
A. Austin, PhD, is Director of Outreach & Communication
for REACHUP, Inc., a community nonprofit committed
to health equity. Previously, she served as Community
Services, Outreach and Communication Manager of the
Central Hillsborough Healthy Start Project and provided
technical assistance to community-university partnerships
in MA, NC and FL. |

Candice
J.T. McDonald, MPH, Interconception Coordinator for REACHUP,
Inc, obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health with
a concentration in Maternal and Child Health from the
University of South Florida. Her major professional interests
include providing health education to communities in
need of resources as well as increased knowledge of self-career. |

Cheryl
Fitzpatrick, MCP, is a Perinatal Support Outreach Worker
(case manager) for Central Hillsborough Healthy Start,
a program of REACHUP, Inc. She has a Master's Degree
in Community Planning, an undergraduate concentration
in Counseling and Guidance, and over 20 years experience
in Project Management, Health Care Training, and Youth
Development. |

Phillip
Rowland is a Computer Software Analyst for a local
company. Married, with one teenage son, Phillip coaches
flag football during the week and weekends. He loves
to have fun playing basketball, video games, fishing,
and watching movies. |

Kenneth
R. Scarborough, MDiv, MPH, has worked with boys and men
in mentoring relationships, which he believes is essential
for growing lives and building healthy communities, for
nearly thirty years. Currently, he is Male Involvement
Coordinator for Central Hillsborough Healthy Start, a
program of REACHUP, Inc. |

Kimberly
Mundell, BS, is a graduate of Xavier University (Cincinnati,
OH) in Education. She currently serves REACHUP, Inc.
as the Executive Assistant and Administrative Specialist
of REACHUP’s president, Estrellita “Lo” Berry. She is
an advocate of educating the community on issues that
matter in the lives of all. She is the mother of one
daughter, Christina Bileyu, MD. |

Yvonne
King, RN, MSN, has been in nursing for over 20 years.
She recently graduated from the University of South Florida
with a Master of Nursing degree in Psychiatric Mental
Health. Yvonne served in the Labor and Delivery Department
of St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital and was the Doula Coordinator
for Central Hillsborough Healthy Start for a brief time. |

Selena
Scott is the mother of Jayden M. Scott and the consumer
volunteer Co-Chair for the Central Hillsborough Healthy
Start Community Council. One of her goals is to continue
to educate herself on new issues and concerns that plague
our community and share that information with her family
and friends. |

Andrew
Ward, MBA, is a graduate of Florida A&M University.
His previous work experience includes two internships
with Toyota Engineering & Manufacturing North America,
and one internship with the United States Small Business
Administration. He is currently a Sales Associate for
Cintas. His hobbies include traveling, playing sports
and watching them as well. |

Mrs.
Deloris Davis is a former Pediatric Nurse and Occupational
Specialist for the Hillsborough County School System.
After retirement from the School System, she began working
with prospective foster families at the Family Enrichment
Center and volunteering at the College Hill COGIC Preschool
where she now serves as the Center’s Director. She has
been married to Elder Charles Davis, pastor of College
Hill COGIC, for more than 40 years and has four children
and six grandchildren. |

Elder
Charles Davis, Pastor of College Hill COGI, has served
on the Boards of numerous civic and religious organizations
in the Tampa Bay region. He has been a Public School
teacher, worked for the Census Bureau and most recently
was the Director of Human Resources for the Hillsborough
County Property Appraisers Office until he retired in
2005. Elder Davis has been married for over 43 years
to his wife Deloris Davis. Together they have four daughters
and six grandchildren. |
